BOOKING A LIMO FOR YOUR PROM
Yup, limos are the hands-down, coolest way to get to prom. But they're not for everyone -- especially if you're going with just a couple of friends or in a large group. Here are a few things to consider when booking a limo.

When: Don't miss the boat. Since limos are in high demand around prom time (not to mention all of the weddings and parties you're going to be competing with), plan to book yours early. Ideally book as soon as you know the date or two to three months before the prom should give you enough time to make the necessary arrangements.

How many: Limos come in all shapes and sizes. Decide how many people will be in your group since that will determine the kind of limo you end up with. Here's a basic breakdown: super-stretch limos, 8 passengers (maximum allowed by law); standard stretch limos, 6 passengers. If you are offered a limo seating more than 8 passengers, ask to see their insurance cover - limos are not generally insured to carry more than 8 passengers, and if stopped by the police you may have a long walk home.

Cost: If you're taking the limousine route, prepare to shell out some cash. Renting a limo for the evening will start at around £130 (one way ~ 1 hour hire) or £220 (return ~ that's under £30.00 each for 8 passengers). You can keep the cost down by going with a group of seven friends and splitting the expense. And don't forget to shop around -- prices do vary widely, as does the quality of the limos used, so check to find the best deal, we are confident our prices are competitive and our vehicles are amongst the best around.

Extras: You will normally be asked to make a deposit in advance to secure your booking. You may also be asked for a sum to cover any mishaps that may happen during the night -- like big messes in the car, blah blah blah. Just keep everything neat and tidy, and you'll see that money again after prom.
Safety: It's important to find out if the limousine service is properly licensed and insured and that the cars are properly maintained. Ours are independently checked every 10 weeks to comply with Department of Transport Regulations. So beware, you may get stuck with poor service, an old, tatty or grubby limo, and/or a rude or grumpy driver.
We stand by our reputation. You won't be disappointed.

Remember, all limousines are NOT the same

Even the Dingles wouldn't want to be seen in some limos - Unless they were off to a fancy dress party as the Clampets!
Dont risk disappointment, book with Ribble Valley Limousines for peace of mind
