Terms and Conditions of Hire.
Hereafter Ribble Valley Limousines shall be known as "The Company" and the person signing the booking confirmation shall be known as "The hirer". It will be deemed that The Hirer accepts responsibility for every person in his/her party and fully agrees to the conditions of hire as follows :
1. a) All bookings are by pre-booking only and must be confirmed with a deposit of £120.00.
b) On weddings and special hires, e.g. Daily, Aintree, Silverstone etc., payment in full must be received at least 14 days before date of hire. We will send you a reminder 28 days before the hire date.
c) On short notice bookings payment must be made in advance by cash prior to commencement of hire. Cheque payments can only be accepted a minimum of 10 days before the date of a hire, unless previously agreed.
2. a) In the event of a cancellation, any deposit paid would be forfeited, however in unavoidable circumstances e.g. bereavement, deposits may be refunded at the discretion of the company.
b) No refund will be given on full payments made by the Hirer if cancellation is made after the 14 day period stated above.
3. No responsibility whatsoever can be accepted for adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion or road works which may cause delay.
4. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the serviceability of the vehicles, no responsibility can be accepted for mechanical, electrical or other breakdown however caused. In this unlikely event every effort will be made for immediate repair to the vehicle so that the journey can continue, or the Hirer would be transferred to another vehicle/s and any reasonable extra costs incurred will be met by the Company or a full refund given.
Note: In the event of conditions 3 and 4 or any other breakdown and/or accident no responsibility will be accepted for missed connections and/or functions, however caused.
5. In the event of a breakdown or accident to the vehicle prior to the date of the hire, every effort will be made to supply a similar or alternative vehicle at the Company's discretion. If this is not acceptable to the Hirer, a full refund will be made of money paid.
6. The Company reserves the right at any time to change / replace or renew the vehicle/s booked or advertised in order to maintain the Company's high standard. The replacement vehicle would be of the same type as originally booked.
7. The consumption of food/food products/chewing gum within the vehicle/s is not permitted and will result in immediate termination of hire.
8. Alcoholic or soft drinks supplied by the Company may only be consumed within the vehicle and must not be removed from it at any time.
9. The Hirer shall be fully responsible and liable for any damage caused both inside or outside the vehicle by the Hirer or any members of his/her party, however caused. This includes incitement to ANY Third Party, which results in damage to the vehicle or its contents. The Hirer will agree to be liable for the total retail cost of the repair, and the location of the repairer will be determined by the Company. In addition the Hirer will be liable to pay to the Company a fixed daily rate (determined by the Company) while the vehicle is out of commission for such repair, plus any further incurred losses, i.e., by lost bookings.
10 The Company or its representatives (e.g. chauffeur) reserve the right to refuse entry to the vehicle to any person / persons they deem unfit for whatsoever reason and can refuse to continue the journey if any person / persons behave in a manor which may be detrimental to other persons or to the vehicle and its contents. In this event no refund will be given.
11 Any extra requests or alterations to the booking (i.e. additional pickup points, change of venue causing extra mileage and time) not made at the time of booking / confirmation cannot necessarily be accommodated, although every effort will be made to meet the requirements of the Hirer. Such alterations may involve extra charges being levied. Any extra charges incurred should be paid in cash to the chauffeur during the course of hire.
12 Once a booking is made, confirmed and deposit paid, the price quoted to the Hirer will not be subject to alteration unless there is any variation from the original details of the booking (see condition 11).
13 The "Company's Discretion" shall be decided by the Owners of the Company at all times, and their decisions will be fully binding in all matters.
